SPIRO
SPirometry for Improved Indigenous and Rural Respiratory Outcomes
Overview
SPIRO is a team funded by the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) and is comprised of patients, providers, decision-makers, researchers, and partners who have expertise in health care research and delivery in remote and rural communities.
The overall goal of SPIRO is to improve access to breathing tests and respiratory care in rural, remote, and First Nations communities in British Columbia, which will ultimately improve health outcomes for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
